DEC 2026 - FEB 2027 RESIDENCY APPLICATIONS FOR SILVER SUN IN WOODSTOCK NY, WILL OPEN SOON!

The Local Saugerties and Silver Sun Residency invite performing arts professionals—those working across the performing arts ecosystem and musicians and dancers from anywhere in the world to apply for a 12–14 day residency in the heart of Woodstock, NY in the Hudson Valley, offered at no cost. We welcome agents, managers, producers, musicians, dancers, administrators, lighting designers, and others whose work supports and shapes the performing arts field to apply.

This residency is designed as a space to step away from the demands of daily work and reconnect with your creative instincts. Guests may choose to rest and recharge, develop new ideas, or focus on a specific project—but a defined outcome is not required.

In your application, please reflect thoughtfully on why a stay in Upstate New York would be meaningful at this moment in your life or work – in your own words.

Residents will have exclusive use of a large 19th-century, three-bedroom (one master br with king bed; one br with queen bed; one br with two twin beds), three-bathroom home set on 12 acres of a converted dairy farm for stays with family, friends or colleagues. The space includes a kitchen, living room, meeting room, and a flexible workspace with WiFi. There is a washer dryer. The home is not well-suited for toddlers, and pets sadly cannot be accommodated.

About The Silver Sun Foundation and Residency

The Silver Sun Foundation is a family philanthropy dedicated to providing support for professional creative artists, educators, cultural organizations and social change makers. The Silver Sun Residence began welcoming artists in July 2019. Our mission is to offer creative professionals and change makers an opportunity to develop new work in a tranquil and supportive environment.
